SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Esprit de Corp. announced today that it has purchased the brand and selected other assets of Moonstone Mountaineering, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of high quality technical outerwear and sleeping bags. Moonstone, based in Arcata, CA, has been an industry leader in providing technical performance apparel and sleeping bags for serious alpinists and outdoor adventurers. Moonstone will be organized as a wholly owned subsidiary of Esprit and will move its headquarters to San Francisco, but will maintain its distinct identity and market focus.
