Eugene's Fifth Street Public Market will undergo a cultural change this month, as new tenants begin to fill spaces vacated by those unable to weather the current economic downturn.
Pure, which will offer sushi along with Japanese kitchen cuisine, is expected to have a "soft opening" about May 20 in the 3,200-square-foot anchor space that was occupied by the Latin restaurant El Vaquero before it closed four months ago.
The second-floor storefront on the market's Fifth Avenue side features a full bar and a view onto the shopping venue's interior courtyard.
