SG advises DoT 6.2 MHz limit on spectrum allotment

New Delhi, May 14 (PTI) In a development that could restrict expansion of mobile services, the Solicitor General of India has asked the government not to allot spectrum beyond 6.2 MHz until the DoT finalises the criteria.

"No further allotment beyond 6.2 MHz be made until the report of the committee constituted in June last year is approved by the competent authority," Goolam Vahanvati, Solicitor General of India, said in his response to DoT.
