LAS VEGAS, Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- It took $3.5 million in R&D and 30 engineers to do it, but LG Electronics has succeeded in building the world's first 40-inch liquid crystal display (LCD) that seamlessly joins four 20-inch TFT-LCDs into a massive yet ultra-thin screen. This patented product can be used in wall-mounted billboard televisions or giant computer monitors. The module is now on exhibit at the COMDEX trade show in Las Vegas.
