Angola LNG Monday started construction of a gas pipeline to transport gas from the sea to the coast, as part of a project to produce liquid gas, the director of public and government relations of the company said in Soyo.

Laurentino Silva said that the pipeline, which would be over 25 kilometres long would take 18 months to build and be the responsibility of two construction companies, British company Acergy for the sea section and France s Spie for work on land.
