ONTARIO, Calif.--Nov. 18--When economist Peter Drucker wanted to schedule time with clients in Germany, he didn't call Lufthansa or United Airlines.
The 88-year-old financial guru and lecturer reserved space at the Ontario Convention Center, the $66 million meeting place that opens today with a dazzling array of high-tech bells and whistles, including state-of-the art video teleconferencing.
Rather than wasting the better part of a day on planes and in airport lounges, Drucker now can limit his travels to a 10-minute drive from Claremont Graduate School, where he teaches, to Ontario.
