AT first glance the Eastern Cape of South Africa and the North East of England would not appear to have a great deal in common.
For one thing, Eastern Cape covers an area 15,000 square miles bigger than the whole of England - with only one seventh of the population.
Eastern Cape borders the Indian Ocean while the chilly North Sea laps against our North East shoreline.
