In recent years, traditional stereo cards have been making a comeback; there are now four international competitions accepting cards and a card-only circuit in PSA, several circulating groups in NSA (National Stereoscopic Association) and elsewhere, and a growing interest in collecting historic cards of persons, events, and places.
Many of the card circuit members are simply using color print film in Nimslos and Loreos, or traditional Realists, like Bill Walton, but Stan White, APSA, has gone all the way. Both Bill and Stan are fine mounters who do their own printing at a very high artistic level, but Stan does hand tinting, with wonderful results.
