Nov. 23--Tom Saponas, a Hewlett-Packard Co. manager who led the company's main manufacturing division in Colorado Springs for nearly a decade, has left for another HP operation.
Saponas, 48, personified HP in Colorado Springs -- as well as its strong ties to the engineering program at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. For his volunteer work with the university, Saponas was honored Friday during a reception in which the lounge in the engineering college was renamed the Tom A. Saponas Student Lounge.
