MANILA, May 16 (PNA) -- Operatives of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) arrested on Friday six foreigners and two Filipinos on board a Taiwanese fishing boat which was intercepted for alleged illegal fishing near Camiguin islands off Cagayan. Vice Admiral Wilfredo Tamayo, PCG commandant, said the eight crew members of the vessel were placed under the custody of the PCG. Reports reaching the PCG headquarters in Manila showed that at 3:15 a.m. on Friday, a patrol team composed of PCG and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) personnel spotted an unidentified fishing boat on waters between Camiguin and Babuyan Channel.
