ANTRIM(tm)s dream of adding the Division 2 title to last season(tm)s Division 3 crown came unstuck in the 47th minute of a well-contested final in Parnell Park yesterday.
While the first half scoreline finished on parity, Antrim 0-8 to Wexford(tm)s 1-5, there were already signs that the game was slipping away from the Saffrons.
The management introduced two subs during the opening half-hour and really only the talent of Jane Adams, who hit the target five times, kept them in the hunt at the break.
Wexford(tm)s opening goal came from Evelyn Quigley in the 15th minute, but Antrim hit back with a couple of good scores to level.
