CARROLLTON, Ga. -- WGNB Corp. (NASDAQ: WGNB), the holding company for First National Bank of Georgia, reported that it will voluntarily delist its Series A Preferred Stock from the NASDAQ Capital Market under the ticker, "WGNA". After considering the substantial fees involved, the closely held nature of the ownership and the lack of trading, the Board of Directors determined that it is in the best interest of the Company to discontinue its NASDAQ listing of the Series A Preferred Stock. At this time, the Company will not seek to have the Series A Preferred Stock listed on any other national exchange or quoted in any quotation medium.
