THE cops got their man yesterday - a taxi driver who tried to escape the clutches of six metro police officers who chased him on foot.
He drove wildly down the street, nearly knocking over several pedestrians.
In hot pursuit were the metro police officers, led by their operation commander, Sergeant Jack Mabaso.
This was the start of round two of Operation Nomakanjani, roughly translated as "no matter what".
Nomakanjani, which targets motorists who disobey traffic rules, was launched more than two months ago.
