Nearly two hours remain before the first pitch of a mid-week University of Arkansas baseball game and Chuck Barrett is in the broadcast booth in Fayetteville making final preparations. He's checking equipment, pouring over statistics and double-checking pronunciations.

A guest is visiting with Barrett about his regular routine, but the closer it gets to game time, the more obvious Barrett's focus on the upcoming game becomes. Later, Barrett explains why he seemed to lose interest in the all the activities going on around him.
