Chase Investment Counsel Corp. of Charlottesville, Va., has promoted David B. Scott, 54, to president, replacing firm founder Derwood S. Chase Jr., 77.
Mr. Scott, formerly a senior vice president, will continue in his role as chief investment officer with primary responsibility for overseeing the firm's investment strategy and investment portfolios. He will also remain a director.
Mr. Chase has assumed the roles of chairman and chief executive, and will continue to be involved in formulating overall investment strategy. He remains a director.
