- Taiwan's gross domestic product suffered a record annual drop of 10.24 per cent in the first quarter of the year, worsening from a 8.61 per cent contraction registered in the fourth quarter of last year and more than a 6.51 per cent fall projected in February, according to statistics released yesterday by the Cabinet-level Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS).
