Pleas are being put forward, around the globe, to include funds for a range of geomatics-related activities in national, regional and now global economic stimulus plans. In February we saw ESRI's renewed call for support for the "GIS for the Nation" initiative proposed back in 2005, with support from the newly formed COGO--Coalition of Geospatial Organizations.
