BREA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 4, 1997--Simulation Sciences Inc. (Nasdaq:SMCI) (SIMSCI) Thursday announced that PIPEPHASE-TACITE, a software program for simulating transient conditions in oil and gas production systems, has entered the Beta test phase.
In late 1995 a consortium comprised of IFP, ELF Aquitaine, and TOTAL, original developers of the program, chose SIMSCI to commercialize the TACITE software and integrate it with PIPEPHASE, SIMSCI's fluid-flow simulator. Beta testing of the TACITE module will be conducted at several major petroleum companies.
