Article: Price of concentrated nitric acid will gradually stabilize.(Inorganics)

At present, most of the concentrated nitric acid expansion projects constructed in recent years have already gone into operation, and there will be no major moves to further increase capacity within the next year or two. The market share of each producer is relatively stable, too. All these factors will be conducive to the stability of prices.

In 2008, China's concentrated nitric acid output was 1.84 million tons, down 6% from 2007. The average price rose all the way from RMB1 500/t early that year to the highest RMB4 100/t in July--an increase of 173 percent! From early August, the price began to come down again and dropped to RMB 1 400/t at the end of the year.
