I have found that multimedia resources are particularly valuable for two assignments: job interviewing at the undergraduate level and crisis communication at the graduate level.
Job Interviewing
Students use multimedia resources in two ways in the job interviewing segment of my undergraduate business communication class.
Personality Assessment
As an initial assignment, each student is required to take the Keirsey personality test online, a free personality test users can take and score immediately (http://www.keirsey.com).
