Dec. 3--THERE MIGHT BE SOME TROUBLE BREWING down at the South Street Plaza, between 9th and 10th streets, that could make many people quite unhappy. Fresh Fields -- the store of choice for the environmentally conscious -- has been slowed by landlord-tenant issues.
While there had been dish that the deal was a dead one, Fresh Fields' Chris Hitt said yesterday that the natural food chain is "totally committed to the site" which is controlled by local partners Max Berger and Howard Lander.
The fly in the ointment seems to be a long-term lease with Rite Aid and their partners. The details are sketchy, since neither the landlord nor the tenant ...
