RADIO Ulster(tm)s Alan Simpson has spoken publicly for the first time about losing his father as a young boy.
The former face of Kelly(tm)s nightclub turned radio host told Sunday Life about his struggle to cope without a father figure when his dad Sam died suddenly.
oeI lost my dad from heart disease when I was 10 and it was tough, the local BBC star recalled.
oeI suppose I spent my formative years without a father figure. I had uncles who I enjoyed going to visit but I became a bit of a loner.
