Reputed to be Europe's largest holiday resort, with more than five million visitors annually, Benidorm has developed into a metropolis in its own right. Developers were originally attracted to Benidorm, a sleepy little fishing village until the 1960s, by its five kilometres of pristine beaches and its all-year-round warm climate.
