The quality of alternative assessments in physical education has not received much attention. The perception may be that alternative assessments replicate the actual task, therefore, the quality of the assessments is not a concern. The quality of the assessments consists of three components: validity, reliability, and objectivity. Each of the three components will be discussed in terms of alternative assessments.
