ALL six of Ireland's first sextuplets have been baptised in hospital while their parents await the news that they can all be taken off ventilators.
It is believed that three of the tiny babies are breathing on their own. The other three are still connected to ventilators.
Fr Owen O'Donnell, a retired priest from the area where proud parents Nuala and Austin Conway live, told the Irish Daily Mail the baptisms had taken place as a precautionary measure. 'I can confirm that all six babies were baptised in Belfast in front of their parents,' he said.
