A new multi-head weigher/mixer installed in a fully temperature-controlled environment is now operational at Ardovries Shearway's Headcorn plant.
This multi-head unit comprises the major part of a [pounds]1m. investment made at the factory this year.
Made by Yamato, the unit allows the company to achieve new standards of accuracy and consistency in the packing of their wide range of vegetable and fruit mixes. Because of the design of this particular machine, a new generation of more complex mixes can now be produced accurately.
