Delaware Park (www.delawarepark.com), the Delaware Valley's premier racetrack and gaming venue, continued its commitment to offer exciting--and safe--thoroughbred racing by becoming one of the first racetracks in the nation to seek accreditation through the new National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) Safety and Integrity Alliance.
As part of the accreditation process, Delaware Park will undergo a review for compliance with Alliance standards for injury reporting and prevention; efforts to create a safer racing environment; aftercare and transition of retired racehorses; uniform medication, testing and penalties; and safety research.
