LAWRENCE, Kan.--Dec. 11--Aerotech Engineering & Research Corp. of Lawrence has been awarded a U.S. Air Force contract to research advanced aerospace materials for possible use in the B-2 "Stealth" bomber program and other projects.
The $750,000 Small Business Innovative Research contract will allow the firm to research the manufacture of composite materials for use in aerospace, automotive -- even sporting goods applications.
"These contracts are awarded by the government in hopes that the technologies will have both military and commercial applications," said Aerotech's Suman Saripalli.
