BRIDGEPORT, Conn., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- People's Bank (Nasdaq: PBCT) has named Jean M. LaVecchia executive vice president of Corporate Services, effective January 1, 1998. LaVecchia, who has served as a director on the People's Bank Board of Directors for the past five years, is presently senior vice president of Organizational Development at Southern New England Telecommunications Corporation. At People's she will direct the bank's Strategic Planning as well as oversee the Human Resources, Communications/Marketing, and Audit departments.
