Padang, West Sumatra, May 26 (ANTARA): The Tabing Padang meteorological, climatology, and geophysics office (BMKG) has recorded a total of 70 hot spots in West Sumatra. "The monitoring of BMKG on Tuesday morning indicates that there is an increase in the number of hot spots in West Sumatra region, due to the dry air humidity," Amarizal, head of the Tebing Padang BMKG's observation and information section, said here on Tuesday. He explained the hot spots were triggered by dry air which has occurred over the past two weeks. At least 350 hot spots were detected on Sumatra Island, including in West Sumatra, he said.
