Kathmandu, May. 23 -- Madhav Kumar Nepal, the new Prime Minister of Nepal, has wide-ranging experience in the Himalayan nation's government.

With the support of almost all the parties except the Maoists, Nepal has been elected Prime Minister replacing Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'.

He has the support of all MPs except 238 of the Maoists and two of other small parties in the 601-member Constituent Assembly of Nepal.

Veteran political figure of the Himalayan nation Girija Prasad Koirala has seconded his nomination along with MJF's Bijaya Kumar Gachchhedar and Terai Madhesh Lokatantrik's Mahantha Thakur.
