Kolkata, May. 25 -- Train services on both Sealdah and Howrah
divisions of the Eastern Railway remained severely affected since 1200 hrs today following strong gale coupled with torrents.
On Sealdah South division, train services on all the four sections, including Canning, Lakshmikantapur, Diamond Harbour and Budge Budge, could not be maintained since 1200 hrs.
Tree branches fell on railway tracks and overhead wires at Dhakuria, between Sealdah and Park Circus, Garia, Narendrapur Sonarpur, Kalikapur, between Ghutiari Shariff and Taldi, Brace Bridge and Akra stations.
