THANK you for the front page article (FG May 15).

I would like to stress a number of points while we wait for Defra to announce that more research is needed.

Why do they need more research when they were already privy to the Zuckerman Report of 1951?

Why are they not concerned about the effect OPs had on cattle for warble fly treatment?

Cattle contain the same enzymes as humans and the Scope research highlighted what they did to the human body.

Incidentally, research published in The Lancet in 1968 by a Dr Redhead on an arable farmer, explains in some detail the effects of the destruction of the cholinesterase enzyme.
