Prior to May 14 when the Joint Military Task Force (JTF) in the Niger Delta region launched its search and rescue operations still raging in Warri and the creeks surrounding it, the military had seized a vessel belonging to Government Ekpomupolo (aka Tom Polo), the dreaded wealthy leader of the shadowy but strong Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND).
