Early in the morning hours of yesterday, traders of Wuse Market in Abuja staged protest over alleged theft in the market. They alleged that on Thursday night, some unknown persons broke into 7 shops in the B Block of the market and carted away several millions of naira in cash and goods.
The protest which started peacefully, later turned violent when some suspected hoodlums took advantage of the protest and started vandalizing cars, public properties and the offices of the market officials.
