The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) fell today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index fell 1.06% to 860.45 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index fell 1.24% to 784.84 points, and the Tel-Tech fell 2.44% to 175.32 points. Turnover was NIS 1.78 billion.
The TASE fell today following yesterday's losses on Wall Street, which spread to Asia and then Europe today. Today's futures contracts on Wall Street pointed to further losses.
Earlier this week, the Central Bureau of Statistics announced that Israel's GDP fell by an annualized 3.6% in the first quarter, after falling by 0.5% in the preceding quarter. Bank Leumi economists said today, "An examination of ...
