Teknor Apex Co, Cereplast Inc and Telles LLC will be among the at least 38 companies that will showcase their bioplastic products at the NPE2009 to be held in Akron, OH, USA. Teknor Apex manufactures starch-based bioplastics using technology from Cerestar Inc, as well as a bioplastic compound based on BASF's biodegradable polyester. A pilot production line in Pawtucket, RI, USA has a capacity of about 1 M lbs, and that could grow to 5 M lbs in early 2010. ...
