Investments and Securities Tribunal sitting in Lagos, has dismissed an application for stay of proceedings filed against it by Chevron Oil Nigeria Plc and MRS Oil and Gas Ltd.
In her ruling, Chairman of the Tribunal, Dr Nnenna Orji, said the tribunal gave priority attention to contempt proceedings over and above the application challenging its jurisdiction.
Orji said the application challenging its jurisdiction was one that had not determined the right of the parties and therefore, was not an appealable decision.
