Death of ferry helmsman sparks dramatic rescue
A dramatic rescue operation was launched yesterday to regain control of a ferry which drifted out of control after the coxswain collapsed and died on board, writes Brendan Farrelly.
The 'Ikom K' had just left Beal Lough in Co Cork with six people on board and was heading for Lawrence Cove on Bere Island when the drama began.
