Executives at Imperial Capital LLC agree with Michael Milken that capital structure matters. At the Milken Institute's 2009 global conference in Los Angeles last month (which Imperial co-sponsored), Imperial president and co-founder Randall Wooster spoke during a panel discussion moderated by Milken entitled "Capital Structure Matters."
"There's a theoretical, academic debate on whether it matters how capital structure is broken up between equity and debt and different types of securities," says Jason Reese, Imperial chairman and chief executive. "Mr. Milken is a big proponent of how it matters, and we agree with him."
