MARTIN Surtees' Louella Stud bred seven-year-old 17.1 grey gelding Autumn Fox by Primitive Rising won the Northumberland County Show Light Horse Championship on the first attempt.
In fading light, seven horses and ponies lined up to contest the title and the dapple grey towered over six ponies to be pulled forward in front to Sophie Dowdswell's Mountain & Moorland Ridden Champion Rhyd-ddu-Glyndwr in Reserve place.
