Dec. 11--Rupert Murdoch's move to tap his eldest son, Lachlan, as the future king of News Corp. means he'll leapfrog two siblings to the top: a rebellious, rock 'n' roll brother who only recently joined the empire and a corporate-climbing sister who seemed to have designs of her own on the throne.
Both siblings -- James, 24, and Elisabeth, 29 -- are said to have given their blessing to Lachlan's promotion as his father's successor at the company which owns such prime properties as Fox TV, 20th Century Fox and HarperCollins publishing.
But some industry watchers' eyebrows were raised as Elisabeth -- who's older than Lachlan and has been a shrewd ...
