When Kathryn De La Rosa walks across the graduation stage as valedictorian, she will have earned more than a diploma. That day will be a culmination of important lessons she's gleaned at Western Branch High School.
The 17-year-old has learned to balance hectic academic and extracurricular schedules, learned that hard work pays off, and, perhaps of most use , learned how to pull an all-nighter.
"I didn't sleep very much," the Churchland Park resident joked about her demanding schedule. "The night is long. I think that's pretty much where I found the time."
