HAVEN -- Renowned golf course architect Pete Dye offered an interesting explanation to sum up his revisions to Whistling Straits for the 2010 PGA Championship.
"Just trying to make everyone mad," Dye quipped at Friday's media day and ticket launch for the 2010 PGA, August 12 to 15, in this super-small community that hugs the Lake Michigan shoreline.
Of course Dye, who designed the Straits Course that opened here in 1998, was only half-joking in his customary quick-witted tone.
