FINE GAEL is willing to work with Sinn Fein and would even consider going into coalition with them, the party's election mastermind has sensationally revealed.

After 80 years of animosity between the parties, FG has now dropped its 'doctrinaire' opposition to the political wing of the Provisional IRA.

The stunning U-turn comes just two years after Enda Kenny ruled out going into government with Gerry Adams's party, and follows years of furious attacks on SF over its refusal to condemn terrorist murders, beatings and robberies.
