Dapitan City, ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE, May 29 (PNA) --- Aimed to enhance the export competitiveness of Zamboanga del Norte's sardines industry, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo today turned over the P40-million for the construction of a cold storage facility in this city. To be located at Barangay San Pedro in this city, the cold storage facility is expected to facilitate the growth of the local fishing industry and assured Zamboanga del Norte's sardine bottlers year-round supply of herring, locally known as malangsi or tuloy.
