Businesses interested in locating plants or offices on abandoned industrial sites in Cuyahoga County soon will have a new source of financing to help solve environmental problems associated with such properties.
The Cuyahoga County Planning Commission will use grants of $400,000 from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and $500,000 from Cuyahoga County to seed a revolving loan fund for development of unused former industrial property, called brownfields.
