ARNHEM, Netherlands--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 23, 1997--Akzo Nobel has reached agreement on the purchase of all car refinish activities of its Polish and Czech distributor Mr. P. Vat. Financial terms were not disclosed.
"This acquisition will strengthen the fast growing Akzo Nobel car refinishes activities in Central and Eastern Europe, a strategic growth area," said Cor de Grauw, general manager of the Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes unit. "The acquisition will enable Akzo Nobel to develop and improve services for customers in the rapidly expanding Polish car refinishes market."
