LONDON -- Agent Provocateur stirred the lingerie world when it opened in Soho here three years ago, and it's still raising eyebrows. Just ask the denizens of Belgravia.
"We don't want any sex shops in our neighborhood," one elderly matron snorted to the manager of Agent Provocateur's new shop on Pont Street, which opened in early December and is decorated like an 18th-century French boudoir. Of course, she complained only after taking a good, long look around.
"We aren't a sex shop," retorted Joseph Corre, who owns Agent Provocateur with Serena Rees. "It's lingerie. How ridiculous can you be?"
Corre and Rees started Agent Provocateur to bring lingerie ...
