AMSTELVEEN, The Netherlands--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 9, 1998--KLM and Malaysia Airlines will conduct an intensive study of opportunities for commercial cooperation between the two carriers. A Memorandum of Understanding to this effect was signed recently with a view to concluding a detailed agreement in the spring of 1998.
KLM and Malaysia Airlines will focus on linking their route networks with convenient connections at their Amsterdam and Kuala Lumpur hubs. Code-sharing on services from these hubs to beyond destinations will be examined.
